The residence consists of three primary volumes that shift in plan to create outdoor living terraces, covered walkways, a covered patio, and access to an expansive roof deck. The lower volume contains the garage, mud room, a guest suite, and rec room. The middle volume contains the master suite, kids’ bedrooms, and laundry. The upper volume contains the kitchen, dining, and living spaces along with a media room and office/flex room. In addition, a subterranean volume contains a water catchment system, additional storage, mechanical room, wine cellar, and a massage room with adjacent sauna. These primary volumes are tied together by a vertical circulation core that houses open riser stairs and an elevator.  A solar array consisting of photovoltaics and evacuated tubes will be installed on the roof deck to reduce energy costs.
